Capitol Care South (CCS) offers three levels of Day Treatment Services
for adults with more intensive mental health needs. Day Treatment is
offered five days a week, and is tailored to meet the needs of each
individual client. All clients are provided with individualized treatment
plans and a continuum of clinical services to meet their needs. Participants
in Day Treatment are allowed to stay in their familiar residential environment,
and maintain their activities in the community. CCS provides a flexible
form of treatment that shortens or avoids hospital stays, and provides
a gateway to independence.
- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): This level
of care is for clients who have recently had a psychiatric hospitalization
and are in need of structured care in a community setting. The goal
of this program is to provide acute symptom remission and to prevent
future hospitalization.
- Intensive Day Treatment: Intensive Day Treatment
is for those clients who are coping with Chronic Mental Illness and
need assistance in managing and alleviating symptoms. Goals of Intensive
Day Treatment include: increasing the client’s level of functioning,
enhancing community integration and improving community living skills.
- Rehab Day Treatment: This level of Day Treatment
is for the client who is currently stable but who would benefit from
a structured and dynamic group learning opportunity. The goals of
Rehab Day Treatment include improving functioning, facilitating recovery,
achieving personal life goals, regaining self worth, optimizing illness
management, and helping clients become productive participants in
family and community life.
